Hello, my name is Drew.
Drew Gasparini is an award-winning musical theatre composer/lyricist and singer/songwriter. Some of his musicals include the Broadway-bound adaptation of The Karate Kid (with original screenwriter Robert Mark Kamen), as well as Its Kind of a Funny Story for Universal and The Whipping Boy (both with writing partner Alex Brightman). In 2020 Drew wrote his semi-autobiographical song-cycle We Aren’t Kids Anymore. The piece is now currently available for license through Concord Publishing.
He has performed his brand of theatre concerts all over the world, from his regular shows at 54 Below to performances at Lincoln Center in NYC, The Kennedy Center in D.C, and alongside the Virginia Symphony Orchestra at the Ferguson Center for the Arts. The popularity of Drew’s theater concept album I Could Use a Drink has led to sold out concerts all over the globe, including a concert production at the Garrick Theater in London’s the West End in 2021.
Beyond theatre, Drew has been commissioned to write original music for television and advertising. The 2023 Booking.com ad campaign dubbed "Somewhere, Anywhere" starring Oscar nominee Melissa McCarthy and featuring a song co-written by Drew, received dominant air time during the Super Bowl, March Madness, the NBA playoffs, The Oscars, and The Tony Awards, and made the Top 10 lists and honorable mentions as one of the best Super Bowl ads of 2023 by People Magazine, Forbes, USAToday, Entertainment Weekly, Variety and more. It was officially the most viewed Super Bowl LVII ad on YouTube and continues to get heavy rotation across the globe.
In 2019, Drew wrote the score for a full-length stage musical/publicity stunt, “Skittles Commercial: The Broadway Musical” starring Michael C. Hall, which the brand commissioned in lieu of airing a 30-second ad during the Super Bowl. The result was a thing of legendary status, garnering many CLIO and other advertising awards. Also, (despite the fact that it never aired; in fact people had to buy tickets to come see it live!) the effort was voted #1 Best Super Bowl LIII ad by Business Insider and Forbes.
Drew’s songwriting has also been heard on TV shows such as NBC’s Smash and The Biggest Loser, CMT’s Gainesville, and Oxygen’s The Next Big Thing, and in ad campaigns for Hotels.com and Ford.

PODCAST
Drew has a lot of friends in show business. Sure, he knows what their resumes look like, and what their professional accolades are, but other than that, he doesn’t know shit about them. “Now We’re Talking with Drew Gasparini” is a new podcast where Drew tricks his more famous friends into having an unscripted, unstructured, and slightly unhinged discussion about things you can’t find about them on google. There will be a new episode every week with a new amazing guest from the worlds of Broadway, TV, Film and beyond.
